I’m Sarah.
I’m here to help you put your leadership to work.
I’m a longtime tech veteran who believes the most important system in your business is not your technology; it’s your people. And that leadership, just like every other skill that got you where you are, is learnable.
I spent almost two decades working on the tech side of a variety of organizations: nonprofit, startup, finance. When I took on leadership roles, I got the same amount of training most leaders get: not much.
So I learned, the hard way, how to lead. I built teams, then organizations. I figured out how to not just have values but act on them, turn them into habits and policies. When I couldn’t find frameworks that worked for me, I created them. I built a roadmap for helping teams deliver success while caring fiercely for them as people.
And it worked.
A highlight reel of my organizations’ accomplishments includes things like:
Providing financial assistance during the Covid pandemic to 2.5 million customers of a national bank, and saving them more than 30,000 hours on the phone in the process
Driving $38 million in revenue for the app whose design team I led
Teaching more than 500 people how to talk persuasively about their work with their colleagues & bosses
… all while building a magnetic organization that people changed jobs just to join.
I know how it feels to almost hyperventilate before a tough conversation, to agonize over whether to manage someone out, to know you need to delegate but fear what will happen if you do.
I learned leadership the hard way, but you don’t have to.
You’re here to do excellent work for your customers, while treating your employees like the humans they are. You want…
To be proud of what your company delivers
Your employees to grow in ways that matter to them
To be a magnet for the best talent
To build a culture of growth, excellence, and humanity
And none of this is going to happen if you – and your management team – don’t have the right leadership structures and habits.
If you’re looking for concrete leadership guidance that supports your priorities and values, and that you can put into practice today, let’s talk.
P.S. A lot of people ask how to pronounce my name. It’s “GAY-litz.” Can’t wait to meet you.
